DirectIP is IDIS's proprietary IP framework. Connect an IDIS camera to an IDIS NVR and it configures itself — no IP addresses, no routing, no IT department needed. Multiply that across 16, 32, or 64 channels and the time and cost savings become significant.

Multi-layered cybersecurity — built in, not bolted on.
IDIS's cybersecurity framework covers every link in the surveillance chain. DirectIP mutual authentication ensures cameras and NVRs verify each other's identity at connection. NVR firewalls use IP, MAC address, and port authentication to block unauthorised access. Multi-factor authentication (2FA) is built into all NVRs. All data transmission uses TLS encryption. Video is stored in IDIS's proprietary iBank format — an encrypted, proprietary database that external devices cannot read. Chained Fingerprint technology embeds a blockchain-style integrity check into each recorded frame, making footage legally admissible as unaltered evidence.
4-year warranty — no charge, no conditions, no catch.
IDIS offers a standard 2-year warranty on all products. On H.265 DirectIP NVRs and all IP cameras, a further 2-year extended warranty is available free of charge — bringing total coverage to 4 years. This applies to hardware defects under normal operating conditions and is registered through your Triple Star installation. Over a typical 5-year system lifecycle, this represents a significant reduction in risk and replacement cost compared to standard industry warranties of 1 or 2 years. The extended warranty is registered through Triple Star as your installing partner — no separate application process required.
IDIS is not Chinese technology. This matters more than it used to.
The UK government and critical sector bodies are increasingly scrutinising CCTV installations for technology of Chinese origin — specifically Hikvision and Dahua products, which have been banned from government premises and flagged by the NPSA. IDIS is South Korean. It designs, develops, and manufactures its own products and does not use components from the banned NDAA Section 889 vendors.
