Standards Update

BS 5839‑1:2025 is now in force (30 April 2025). The new edition introduces cybersecurity requirements for connected panels, updated battery backup calculations, and stricter documentation standards. NOTIFIER INSPIRE is engineered to meet every one of them.

What this means for you

What INSPIRE means for your building.

Here is what changes when Triple Star installs and maintains a NOTIFIER INSPIRE system — across detection, monitoring, compliance, and future-proofing.

01

Verified between every visit — automatically.

INSPIRE's Self-Test detectors run automated functional tests — generating a controlled amount of smoke into the optical chamber and heating the thermistor — without anyone entering the room. No smoke pole. No engineer on a ladder. One technician can test an entire floor in the time it previously took to test a single corridor, and every result is logged digitally in the CLSS cloud.

02

Instant notification. Remote diagnosis. Fewer callouts.

INSPIRE connects to Honeywell's Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS) cloud. When a fault or alarm condition occurs, push notifications go instantly to your mobile device and to our engineering team. We can remotely diagnose the issue before anyone travels to site — improving first-time fix rates and dramatically cutting the time your system is out of normal operation.

03

Built to grow alongside your building.

INSPIRE is built on a modular architecture. It grows detector by detector, panel by panel — without disrupting existing coverage or requiring extensive re-cabling. The E10 starts at 2 loops and expands to 8. Up to 32 panels network together. INSPIRE is also backward compatible with existing CLIP-protocol devices, protecting your current investment.

04

Compliance documentation ready before we leave site.

After every CLSS-assisted service visit, a compliance certificate is generated directly from the cloud — no manual transcription, no chasing paperwork. Your maintenance report is compliant with BS 5839‑1:2025 and ready the moment our team finishes on-site, exported as PDF and stored in your CLSS account.

The process

How INSPIRE works from day one.

Three components — panel, detectors, cloud platform — each purpose-built to complement the others across the full lifecycle of your fire system.

Step 01

INSPIRE Panel Installed & Commissioned

Triple Star's engineers install and commission your NOTIFIER INSPIRE E10 or E15 panel, wired and configured to EN54-2 and EN54-4. Self-Test detectors are addressed to your building layout and risk category — L1 to L5 or P1/P2 — fully in line with BS 5839‑1:2025.

Step 02

Securely Connected to CLSS Cloud

A CLSS Gateway connects the panel to Honeywell's cloud platform over your site's IP network, Wi-Fi, or GSM. Communication is encrypted end-to-end. Hosted on Microsoft Azure. GDPR-compliant. Triple Star's team gains live visibility of your system from day one — not just at the next service visit.

Step 03

Monitor, Maintain & Report — Ongoing

Automated Self-Test keeps detectors verified continuously. Any fault condition triggers instant push notification. When Triple Star attends for the six-monthly inspection required under BS 5839‑1:2025, compliance reports are auto-generated via CLSS and shared with you digitally before our engineers leave site.

Why Triple Star

The system is only as good as the company behind it.

NOTIFIER INSPIRE is an exceptional product. But a fire system requires careful design, precise commissioning, and a long-term maintenance relationship to perform as intended across its entire lifetime. That is where Triple Star comes in.

Established in 2006, our Managing Director sits as a BSI committee member and has lobbied directly for the standards that govern the systems we install. We don't cut corners — because the people at risk if we did are your staff and your building's occupants.

Authorised NOTIFIER installer and CLSS service representative. Under BS 5839‑1:2025 and NOTIFIER's own requirements, only trained and certified partners may commission CLSS-connected systems, conduct Self-Test service visits, and generate CLSS compliance reports.

Full lifecycle accountability. We design, install, commission, and maintain your system as a single partner. No handoffs between contractors, no gaps in responsibility, no ambiguity when something needs attention.

BS 5839‑1:2025 compliant maintenance programme. Six-monthly service visits structured to the new standard, with automated CLSS compliance reports delivered digitally on completion.

Flexible leasing available. We can structure your INSPIRE installation as a leased arrangement, spreading the investment with no large upfront outlay and keeping cash flow predictable.

Authorised Engineered Systems Distributor

Triple Star is trained and certified by NOTIFIER to install, commission, and maintain INSPIRE systems and operate the CLSS monitoring platform on behalf of our clients.
